What Do You Need to Rent a Car?
To rent a car from Gourmet Everything, you will need the following:
- To be 25 years old (if you’re under 25, you will be required to pay a young driver’s fee of $30 per day)
- A valid, unexpired US government-issued driver’s license which includes a photograph (Digital licenses are not accepted)
- Valid auto insurance or rental insurance
- Major credit or debit/check card
Can I Rent a Car with an International Driver’s License?
If you are traveling internationally and wish to book with Gourmet Everything we ask that you book using Turo. Turo offers great insurance and protection to the driver and the host since we are not able to rent to international drivers. Turo is a peer-to-peer car-sharing platform that Gourmet Everything uses to support its international drivers. Turo offers a fast and easy booking process so you can still enjoy all of the benefits Gourmet Everything offers its direct bookings.
Can My Rental Car be Delivered?
We offer round trip airport delivery for $120 to most airports. We can also deliver to any address within 25 miles of our listing location for the same price. One-Way Delivery is available for $60 as an Extra within the same 25 mile radius of our listing location.
What Forms of Payment are Accepted for Renting a Car?
The following credit cards are accepted at all locations:

- Discover Network®
Debit/check cards bearing the VISA®, Mastercard® or Discover® logo are accepted at all locations but are subject to a security deposit increase of $200. The name and address shown on the renter’s driver’s license must match their current home address if using a debit/check card. Other than the Renter’s spouse or domestic partner, no other additional drivers are allowed. If using a debit card for any amounts owed, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.
For security reasons, Gourmet Everything does not accept cash or pre-paid gift cards as a form of payment. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Is a Car Rental Deposit Required?
Yes. A security deposit is required to rent a car from Gourmet Everything. Security deposit amounts start at $300 but varies by location, vehicle and payment type. To find out how much a deposit would be for your trip, start a reservation. The cost of the deposit will be stated under the Renter Requirements section.
Do I Get a Discount for Weekly or Monthly Rentals?
If you rent the vehicle for a minimum of seven and up to 29 days, we will automatically provide a 10 percent discount on the base rental price of the vehicle. For vehicles rented for 30 or more consecutive days, we will automatically provide a 15 percent discount. These discounts do not apply to any additional charges.
Can You Rent a Car if Under 25 Years Old?
Yes. The minimum age to rent a vehicle with Gourmet Everything is 21. Any driver 21-24 years of age will be charged a ‘Young Driver Fee’ of $30.00 per day. Additionally, young renters between the ages of 21-24 are not allowed to rent our premium vehicles or vehicles which seat more than 5 passengers.
Can I Add an Additional Driver to My Rental Car?
Yes. An additional charge of $15.00 per day for each additional authorized driver will be added to the cost of the rental. Any additional authorized drivers must be added before the rental begins and meet age, driver’s license and insurance requirements. Only a spouse or domestic partner can be permitted as an additional authorized driver on a rental secured with a debit card.
Can I Smoke in My Rental Car?
No. Smoking is not allowed in rental cars. Gourmet Everything maintains a fleet of 100 percent smoke-free vehicles in the US. A cleaning fee of up to $450 may be applied to the cost of a rental, should this non-smoking policy be violated. To avoid a cleaning fee, do not smoke or vape inside or near your rental car.
Can I Take the Vehicle Off-Road?
No. Our vehicles shall not be driven on anything other than a paved public highway or road. A prohibited use fee of $500 will be charged if any vehicle is taken off-roading. If renting from Lihue, HI, the prohibited use fee will be charged if vehicles are taking to Polihale, due to the likelihood of severe damage to the vehicle. Please note any added insurance protection is voided and renters are fully responsible for any damages due to irresponsible use of a rented vehicle.
What if My Flight is Delayed or I am Running Late to Pickup My Rental Car?
We utilize a remote pickup process so your rental vehicle will be ready when you are. Just follow the pickup instructions provided once you are at the vehicle to check in and begin your trip. Please note, no start or end time adjustments will be made to your reservation if the vehicle is picked up late.
Can I Return My Rental Car Early?
At Gourmet Everything, we do not charge customers more for returning a car early. We utilize a remote return process so you can return the rental vehicle as early as needed. Just follow the return instructions provided to check out and end your trip. Please note, no end time adjustments will be made to your reservation if the vehicle is returned early.
What if I am Running Late to Return My Rental Car?
Please contact us immediately if you are running late to return a rental vehicle. There is generally a 29 minute grace period for rentals. If the vehicle is returned within 2 ½ hours after the scheduled trip end time, you will be charged 50% of the daily rate. If you return the vehicle 2 ½ hours or more after the scheduled trip end time, you will be charged for an additional day of rental plus a $50 late return fee.
Can I Extend My Reservation?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to extend your trip. We’ll confirm the changes on our end if we are able to accommodate the request.
Do I Need to Refuel the Vehicle Before Returning?
If able to, please refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level documented at pick up or we will charge you for the used gasoline at the current market rate plus a $10 convenience fee unless you’ve added the Prepaid Refuel extra.
Do I Need to Recharge an Electric Vehicle Before Returning?
If able to, please recharge the vehicle to the same level documented at pick up or the following fees will be charged.
Battery Level Recharge Fee
- 0%–20% charge = $60*
- 21%–50% charge = $30*
- 51%–80% charge = $20*
- 81%–100% charge = No recharge fee
* Disregard if you’ve added the Prepaid EV Recharge extra.
Do I Need to Clean My Rental Car Before Returning?
We would never require our guests to clean our vehicles before returning. However, if you return the car extraordinarily filthy you could be charged a $150 cleaning violation fee. Such eligible cleaning issues include biowaste or bodily fluids, spills or waste that require cleaning inside of vents or between the door panel and window, major stains or residue that cover a large area of the vehicle’s interior and would require steam cleaning or a full detail, an extreme amount of caked on mud, dirt, sand or insects that require professional-level exterior detailing, and significant amounts of pet hair.
How Do I Change or Cancel My Reservation
Please contact us as soon as possible if you have already picked up your vehicle and wish to keep it longer. If you have not picked up your vehicle you can view, modify, or cancel your reservation by clicking here. When visiting this page, you will need to make sure all fields are filled out. If you fail to enter in your confirmation number, first name, and last name — the reservation will not be found. If you have entered in all this information correctly and still cannot modify your reservation, please contact us. If you modify your pick-up or drop-off location, date or time, this may result in a change to your rates, taxes, surcharges, or underage fees. Please see your new rate quote when you verify your reservation.
Will I be charged if I cancel my reservation? If you cancel your booking more than 1 day (24 Hours) before your specified pick-up time, you will receive a full refund minus a cancellation fee of $50. If you cancel your booking less than 1 day (24 Hours) before your specified pick-up time, you will receive a full refund minus a cancellation fee of $100 and the daily rate of the booked vehicle.
Will I be charged if I don’t show up for my reservation? If you fail to pick up your prepaid rental on the specified pick-up date, you will receive a full refund minus a cancellation fee of $100 and the daily rate of the booked vehicle.
Will my rate change if I modify my reservation? Possibly – rental rates can change on a daily basis so changing the dates or number of days may change the daily rate.
What Happens if I Incur Toll or Ticket Charges?
All of our vehicles are equipped with a Toll Pass so feel free to ride right through any tolls and we’ll directly charge the credit or debit card listed on your rental agreement for any charges incurred during your trip. Gourmet Everything is not responsible for any toll charges or tickets you incur while driving our vehicles. You are also responsible for any other fees, penalties, towing charges, or impound costs. Guests are responsible for all expenses they incur in the rental vehicle. This includes tolls, tickets and towing.
How do you know that I generated this violation or toll? This notice was sent based upon information provided to us, as the registered owner of the vehicle, from a municipality or toll road authority. The information – based on the date, time and vehicle – indicates that you were the renter.
How can I pay my citation or toll? We will directly charge that credit or debit card listed on your rental agreement. There is no need to do anything else.
Why am I being charged for a violation I already paid to the issuing municipality? If you believe the charges have been paid, please send us proof of payment and a customer service representative will review and respond to your inquiry.
Can you send me the actual violation or toll notice? The letter we sent you includes details about the date and time, as well as the location of the incident. However, since we typically receive only electronic notifications – which reduce processing expenses and time delays – paper copies of tickets or violations generally, are not available.
Why have I received a letter directly from local authorities about a violation or toll? In some locations, Gourmet Everything works with local authorities to transfer liability for violations and tolls to the responsible car rental customer. When this occurs, customers pay for their violations or tolls directly to the local authorities. However, our standard administrative fee still applies.
Why am I being charged now after my rental period has ended? We depend on government and toll agencies for all information related to tolls and other violations. In most cases, that takes one to four weeks – although, in some circumstances, it may take even longer. Our goal is to notify you so that you are alerted as soon as possible. Under the terms and conditions in your rental agreement, you are responsible for all costs, fines, violations and tolls – as well as an administrative fee we charge for processing and billing.
I had my personal transponder in my vehicle, so why am I being billed? If you had your personal transponder in the vehicle and believe these charges are in error, please send us proof of payment. A customer service representative will review and respond to your inquiry.
Why am I getting multiple bills for the same rental period? Due to the timing we receive violation information from the various government and toll agencies, our billing system may notify you about each individual toll or violation separately. We will try to group bills when able.
Why are you charging me a fee? We apply this fee to all costs our affiliates and we incur for citations and tolls and their administration.
